My Inspirations

There are two women in my life that I aspire to be like. Each day I catch myself thinking, God blessed me big when he created them. If you ask people who is their biggest inspiration they’ll name off athletes, famous actors/actress, or authors. Mine are my mom and sister. These awesome ladies are not your average mom and sister…let me tell you why!

Lets start off with the beautiful woman I get to call mom. My mom isn’t like the average mother-she’s a freaking rock-star! By the day she is a nurse. She’s been at her current job for over 30 years, which is insane! This hard working momma raised two girls all on her own while holding down a full time job. As a nurse that typically means missing holidays, extra curricular events and working crazy schedules- but not for my mom! She was always there! I remember coming home from practice and she’d still be in her scrubs making us supper. My sister and I always came first no matter how long her days were, how tired she was, or how crazy our extra curricular schedule was! I have never met a person more self-less than my mom. Going above and beyond for others brings her so much joy. One day I pray that I am able to give to her as much as she has given to me. You are a beautiful person inside and out momma!

Some may know her as an amazing therapist, the girl who made up “my name is chubby”, a rock star momma, or health and wellness inspiration…but I get to call her sister. Janelle wears many hats but my favorite is-sister. If you get the opportunity to sit down and chat with her I guarantee you’ll walk away feeling inspired. She’s just all around amazing…and no I’m not just saying that because I have to(: Her mental game is insane! Once Janelle sets her mind to it- she could literally accomplish anything. Pretty sure her and her husband should have their own talk show because they are such an awesome power couple and absolutely hilarious! They also brought the most beautiful little girl into this world-that I am so obsessed with! I never thought I could love someone so much until I held my niece for the first time.

How did I get so lucky to spend everyday for the first 19 years of my life with such amazing people! If you saw how Janelle and I used to fight you totally wouldn’t believe that first line. I’ve learned so much from them both. How to be an independent women. How to love with my whole heart. Most importantly, how to always keep God at the center of my life. There will never be enough words to thank the two of you for all you’ve done in my life and all you continue to do today. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t talk in our family group chat. Matthew will ask me who I’m texting and then stop to say, your mom and sister I bet? You betcha! I couldn’t do life without them and thankful that I don’t have to.

Truly yours,

Jer❤
